Foodie alert… There’s a new restaurant in the neighborhood and it specializes in Italian food (and who doesn’t love Italian food?). Bellina’s Italian Kitchen had its grand opening at Southland Mall on Friday, April 22. A number of government officials and other local dignitaries were on hand to welcome the new place and to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony. Peggy Bell, Mayor of the Town of Cutler Bay, did the honors with owner Ryan (Sonny) Bellina.

From what we hear, Bellina’s is more than a great pizzeria, it serves authentic Italian, home-made cuisine. Customers will soon enjoy delicious pizzas, pasta, and more. Bellina’s makes all their pasta, bread, gelatos, pastries and cookies in-house daily. It is sure to be a crowd pleaser!

“We welcome this new addition to the Southland Mall family,” said Maggie Anzardo, the marketing director for Southland Mall. “We’re confident this Italian gem will quickly become a favorite dining destination at Southland.”

Owner Ryan (Sonny) Bellina, his wife Jennifer, daughter Isabella and son Jace were joined by not only Mayor Bell but also Maggie Anzardo of Southland Mall, Rick Morgan representing Commissioner Daniella Levine Cava, members of the Cutler Bay Business Association, JoAnn Parns of Palmetto Bay Village Center and former commissioner Lynda Bell.

The restaurant will be located near the mall’s Center Court, across from Starbucks.
