An open letter from Peggy Bell, mayor elect

We received the following letter from Peggy Bell:

Dear Friends and Neighbors,
I am very honored and grateful to have received the ultimate vote of confidence from residents to lead our Town in the years ahead, proudly serving as your Mayor. Voting is important and every election matters. I thank you for taking the time to participate in this process. Your voice was heard because of your vote.

I would also like to take this opportunity to personally thank all of the volunteers and contributors who supported me throughout my campaign.

Our Town is moving forward with the momentum that was started when we were incorporated in 2005. Even while celebrating this new momentous beginning of even better things, I am ready to serve as your Mayor and am anxious to work with all of the residents and community leaders to accomplish the vision for the Town in the upcoming years. We have much work ahead of us, and I look forward to working with each and every one of you.

In order to guide us through this process the Town Council recently adopted an update to the Strategic Master Plan, which was a result of eight community wide meetings allowing residents and the business community the opportunity to provide their vision for the next five years.

Additionally, the town recently completed an update to the Transportation Master Plan, providing the Town with a blueprint of how to address our everyday traffic concerns. This plan was a result of six community wide meetings. This information, along with the feedback I received while speaking to residents both at their homes and during voting, is invaluable as we develop solutions to these issues.

Those who know me personally understand that I take great pride in being very accessible to Town residents who can simply email me at pbell@cutlerbay-fl.gov or contact me at 305-234-4262. Once again, on behalf of my entire family and myself, thank you for providing me with this honor to serve as your Mayor in our wonderful Town of Cutler Bay.
