Under the Hood
The Fiesta is offered with either the standard 1.6-liter four-cylinder or the available 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine. While the small size of the 1.0-liter EcoBoost will save you money at the pump, it performs very well in normal driving. A five-speed manual transmission is standard on the base Fiesta and a six-speed automatic is optional.
The Fiesta’s optional turbocharged three cylinder engine delivers strong acceleration and great fuel economy, while the high-performance Fiesta ST has a turbocharged four-cylinder engine that delivers exceptional power and gets 28/36 mpg city/highway, while, the three-cylinder Fiesta gets an excellent 31/43 mpg.
Safety technology continues as a Hallmark for the new Fiesta. AdvanceTrac with electronic stability control provides a safer, better ride and a four-wheel antilock braking system will stop the car faster. Dual-stage first-row airbags, driver knee airbag, side impact airbags and side-curtain airbags are all standard.
Ford continues to improve and refine the Fiesta appearance for 2015 including:
• New exterior color Magnetic Metallic replaces Storm Gray Metallic
• 16-inch all-season tires on eight-spoke alloy wheels available on Fiesta SE and SE appearance package
• Revised fabric seat trim
• Lower Door Stripe Graphic Package available as custom accessory on Fiesta S, Fiesta SE and Fiesta Titanium
On the inside
Things are just as expressive. The dashboard design and available leather steering wheel and seats amplify the modern interior and entice drivers to get in the car. A selection of ambient lighting options allows Fiesta drivers to set just the mood they want. Also available is a new Sony Audio and HD Radio with satellite system, along with eight premium speakers for drivers to more fully appreciate their music.
Ford has given Fiesta a perfect blend of communication technologies. An available MyFord Touch system with 6.5-inch touch screen featuring enhanced voice control provides drivers with more options than ever for navigation, communication and entertainment functions. Fiesta also has SYNC AppLink capabilities pioneered on the previous Fiesta, which allows for access and control of Ford-approved smartphone apps with voice commands and vehicle controls on the go, helping drivers keep their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road. Turn-by-turn navigation remains part of SYNC Services.
