2015 Lexus LS460 emphasizes comfort and safety

The 2015 Lexus LS460 provides everything you would expect from a premium luxury sedan — a smooth-as-silk ride that is as powerful as it is quiet — all wrapped up in a beautiful car. Additionally, the Lexus LS460 boasts all the technology you would need.

2015-lexus-ls-460-1In previous LS 460 models, the ride was pretty much everything you would expect from a Lexus but the not as responsive as it could be. However, for the 2015 model, Lexus improved the LS 460 by giving the new model’s ride a sharp, responsive feel. Moreover, with the Drive Mode Select option, you can get an even firmer, more controlled ride out of the LS. This coupled with the ultra-quiet ride makes for a serene experience inside of the LS 460.

The 2015 LS 460’s smooth ride is powered by its 4.6-liter V8 engine that creates 386 hp and 367 pound-feet of torque. Even when pushing the peddle to the metal, the LS 460 keeps its calm and smooth composure while sounding like music to the ears. Not only is it quiet, the LS 460 is powerful in testing, the LS 460 went from zero to 60 mph in 6.1 seconds. You can expect the mpg of this car in the city and highway to be 16/24, respectively.

The LS 460’s cabin is just about as comfortable as the ride is quiet. Lined with sumptuous leather and trimmed with fine wood and chrome accents, it’s clear the craftsmanship that went into this vehicle accounted for beauty as well as ergonomics. The front seats are incredibly made, fitting perfectly around the body and supporting your back comfortably.

If mere comfort is not enough and you are looking for a more spa-like experience, the LS 460 also offers upgraded features such as front and rear massaging seats. This is not to say that the LS 460’s standard features are lacking, however. Other features include: front and rear parking sensors, Siri-based control for iPhone users, the Lexus Enform suite of smartphoneintegrated apps, keyless ignition and entry, HD radio, bluetooth phone and audio, just to name some. Additionally, Lexus has upgraded their software and has created a customizable home screen for the controls.

Not only does the LS 460 provide loads of technological features, but it also comes standard with a plethora of safety features which include Lexus Safety Connect which includes an emergency assist button, stolen vehicle locator, blindspot warning, collision notification, parking sensors and rearview camera. And of course, airbags around various locations throughout the cabin. More importantly, the LS 460 earned a “good” rating (the highest rating possible) in both moderate- overlap frontal-offset and whiplash protection during Insurance Institute for Highway Safety crash testing.

While the 2015 LS 460 may not be the top choice for those looking for the absolute best ride in the segment, there are several things that are guaranteed with the LS 460: comfort, safety and a quiet, smooth ride. Perfect for small families looking for a luxury vehicle that does not compromise practicality.

The MSRP for the 2015 Lexus LS460 starts from $72,520.
