Talia Carner

Talia Carner will be the seventh author featured at the Michael-Ann Russell Jewish Community Center’s eight-part Meet the Author Jewish Book Series, on Wednesday, February 24, at 1pm, at the Michael-Ann Russell Jewish Community Center, 18900 NE 25th Avenue, in North Miami Beach.

Carner, a former publisher of Savvy Woman magazine and the author of three novels, including the highly acclaimed “Jerusalem Maiden,” will discuss her latest novel, “Hotel Moscow.” In “Hotel Moscow,” Carner tells the story of a daughter of Holocaust survivors who travels to Russia on business shortly after the fall of Communism and finds herself embroiled in a perilous mafia conspiracy that could irrevocably destroy her life. All Meet the Author events are open to the public at no charge and light refreshments are included. A book signing will take place at the end of the program and books will be available for purchase.

The Meet the Author Jewish Book Series is a collaborative effort of the Michael-Ann Russell JCC with Aventura Turnberry Jewish Center, Beth Torah Benny Rok Campus, Jewish Community Services of South Florida, Mishkan Miami of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, Temple Sinai of North Dade, and WIZO. It is dedicated to the memory of Sami and Charlotte Rohr a’h and is made possible, in part, “With the support of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs Council, the Miami-Dade County Mayor and Board of County Commissioners.”
