AKAM On-Site, South Florida’s premier residential management firm, has won yet another honor. The company’s dedication to protect and enhance the quality of life and investment value of its managed properties was evident on Thursday, March 29, 2012. On that day, AKAM On- Site Management Executive Hy Zelcer accepted the City of Aventura’s 2012 Go Green Award in recognition of the superior eco-friendly sustainability projects that have been implemented at Delvista Towers under the Board’s direction and the management leadership of AKAM On-Site and Mr. Zelcer.
An AKAM On-Site client for the past five years, Delvista Towers is a condominium association housing 433 residential units in two 26-story towers located within the grounds of Aventura’s beautiful Fairmont Country Club golf course. For this year’s award, the City of Aventura recognized Delvista Towers’ recent lighting conservation and landscaping projects. “We received the award for the retrofitting of all exterior lighting fixtures with energy saving technology,” says Mr. Zelcer, “and also for our attention to the community’s extensive landscaping.”
To enter and qualify for the award, Mr. Zelcer submitted a comprehensive application accompanied by more than 50 photographs. The City of Aventura then came to the property to perform an objective inspection of the sustainability projects. The success of the programs managed by Mr. Zelcer and his AKAM On-Site team at Delvista Towers earned the highest honor and, in the Aventura City Hall Commissioners Chamber, Hy accepted the Go Green Award from Aventura Mayor Susan Gottlieb for Delvista Towers’ contributions to Aventura’s greening initiatives.
