Aventura Hospital and Medical Center announces the grand opening of its newest unit, providing state-of-the-art care to orthopedic and spine patients. The new unit is located on the tenth floor of the North Tower and houses the Orthopedic and Spine Institute.
The result of a $10 million capital investment in offering the highest quality of care, the 30,000 square-foot customized, post-operative unit is equipped with special features designed to enhance the patient and family experience. The entrance and centralized desk provide a welcoming first impression while the large rooms offer the finest in comfort, from its patient-centered entertainment services to its in-room daybeds for family use. In addition to promoting a fast recovery, the on-unit rehabilitation gym and dining area is designed to provide socialization among patients and family members.

The new tenth floor is staffed by a team of board certified orthopedic surgeons and neurosurgeons, compassionate and experienced nurses, physical therapists and occupational therapists. Unique to the unit is its dedicated Orthopedic and Spine Patient Navigator who assists patients and their families with every aspect of care from last minute questions before the day of surgery to guiding and updating family members of their loved one’s progress.
