With a big first year hit under their belt, the Hallandale Beach Area Chamber of Commerce is holding their second annual Eco Fair on Sat., Feb. 26th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the grounds of the municipal complex, 401 South Federal Highway in Hallandale Beach.

The ever more important process of “going green” highlights the need for more awareness in our everyday lives about how to preserve our natural habitat. With global warming in our own backyards, the need for conservation of energy and the real necessity of each of us working towards this goal make this annual event a “go to” for fun, awareness and great ideas.

Partnering with the Rotary Club of Hallandale Beach / Aventura, the Green Leadership Organization (GLO) and the City of Hallandale have put together a great day of information, giveaways, fun, children’s activities and refreshments.

Hallandale’s school children are participating with a contest for “best green poster” winner. Information from FPL, Teco Gas, free CFL energy light bulb giveaway, free trees from the City for Hallandale residents, tips on conserving energy and water reduction, shopping for eco friendly products and great refreshments will all be part of the scene.

The ECO Fair aims to consciously elevate awareness in our daily lives and modify the way we use our electricity, our water and our energy. Mark your calendar for Feb. 26th and come learn about all that is new in conserving the city. Some giveaways are limited, so be sure to come early.
