Happy Hours The Village at Gulfstream Park is packed with merry-making must-see spots

You work hard. You should play hard, too. From kicking back with a frothy brew to riding a mechanical bull — The Village at Gulfstream Park beckons you to bring on the night.

A jaunt to The Village at Gulfstream Park offers a spate of sizzling nightlife activities. Catering to celebrities such as Lindsay Lohan, Jon Bon Jovi, Paulina Rubio, Sammy Sosa and Lil Wayne, Santo Lounge recently opened at Gulfstream. The Hallandale location is an extension of Santo’s first lounge on Lincoln Road — but think larger and more chic.

Frosty Guinness on tap? Check. Flatscreens tuned into sports and pool action? Check, check. Shepherd’s pie and fish ‘n chips? You betcha. Nope, you aren’t in Dublin, you’re at Playwright Irish Pub. The Hallandale drinking den has got it all — even gothic-style chandeliers, mahogany tables and darts to boot.

If it’s ice-cold beer that quenches your thirst — Yard House is the spot. Set amongst a backdrop of vivid abstract artwork and dozens of flat-screen televisions, the Yard House is the perfect place to unwind with family and friends while grooving to classic rock tunes or cheering your fave football team.

Don’t miss Happy Hour at Primebar. Heralded for its sleek urban interior, the contemporary alehouse dishes out scrumptious American fare. Spirit enthusiasts will be impressed with Primebar’s vast wine list, local micro-brews and stupendous selection of handcrafted specialty drinks.

Steaks, chops, barbeque, burgers, cocktails and bull rides — it’s all about all- American fun at Cadillac Ranch. The Hallandale bar and grill boasts 10,000 square feet of rock n’ roll-inspired digs with plenty of room for family, friends, music and dancing. Giddy up, cowboys and cowgirls, there’s even a mechanical bull in the house. Yee haw!

Hungry? Order up a churrasco steak at Texas de Brazil. If Mexican grub tickles your fancy, a stop at Cantina Laredo is a must. The tableside-made guacamole is not to be missed! For Tuscan treats, check out Brio Tuscan Grille. And if it’s a classic steakhouse you crave, dine at Ill Forks.

Opening later this fall at The Village at Gulfstream Park is Bartini’s. The premier — you guessed it — martini lounge will host weeknight Happy Hours and $5 bar bites.

Greenies everywhere, rejoice! Scheduled to open this winter, Greenhouse moves into The Village at Gulfstream Park party mix. Greenhouse prides itself on being South Florida’s first eco-friendly nightclub. Owner Jon B. says, “We are proud to be the first ones to create an event space that will merge nightlife with positive steps toward addressing global concerns and hope that eventually others will be encouraged to follow in our foot steps.” It’s groovy to be green, baby.

With an eclectic mix of entertainment options — The Village at Gulfstream Park has got it all — from retail therapy to infinite happy hours. Bring on the night!
