“What is so impressive about JNF is the breadth of projects in which it is engaged,” said Dr. Raab. “JNF is so much more than trees and blue boxes. It is an organization that is literally building Israel – from land management to community development, its imprint can be seen throughout the Land of Israel.”
Prior to his arrival at JNF, Dr. Raab was Head of School at Hebrew Academy (RASG), Miami Beach. He has a doctorate degree in Leadership and Administration from Florida Atlantic University, as well as degrees from Florida International University and Bar Ilan University, Israel. Dr. Raab lived in Israel as a child, completed a college degree there, and has a very strong connection to the land, as many members of his family current reside in and around Jerusalem. He has been living in South Florida for 37 years and has been involved in tri-county Jewish communal work for over 26 years. He is the organizer of the annual Miami Marlins Jewish Heritage Day.
“I am looking forward to strengthening JNF’s presence in South Florida,” said Dr. Raab, “to sharing our story and encouraging the broader community to partner with this amazing organization to help build Israel and make it stronger.”

JEWISH NATIONAL FUND (JNF) began in 1901 as a dream and vision to reestablish a homeland in Israel for Jewish people everywhere. Jews the world over collected coins in iconic JNF Blue Boxes, purchasing land and planting trees until ultimately, their dream of a Jewish homeland was a reality. JNF gives all generations of Jews a unique voice in building a prosperous future for the land of Israel and its people.
JNF embodies both heart and action; our work is varied in scope but singular in benefit. We strive to bring an enhanced quality of life to all of Israel’s residents, and translate these advancements to the world beyond. JNF is greening the desert with millions of trees, building thousands of parks, creating new communities and cities for generations of Israelis to call home, bolstering Israel’s water supply, helping develop innovative arid-agriculture techniques, and educating both young and old about the founding and importance of Israel and Zionism.
JNF is a registered 501(c)(3) organization and United Nations NGO, which continuously earns top ratings from charity overseers.
