Personal-injury attorney Jason Neufeld, Esq., with the law office of Neufeld, Kleinberg, and Pinkiert, PA was recently sworn in as President of the North Dade Bar Association by the Honorable Judge Carlos Guzman.
The newly named President has been active with the North Dade Bar Association over the past three years, previously serving as Vice President and Treasurer. Jason has helped transform the organization by increasing membership, generating new sponsors, coordinating events with other volunteer-bar associations and improving the organization’s internet and social-media presence.
The swearing-in ceremony took place at the North Dade Bar Association’s annual holiday party at the trendy Novecento in Aventura. The holiday party was a great success with over 60 guests, county, circuit and appellate court judges in attendance enjoying delicious food, drinks and holiday cheer.
Like father, like son; Jason’s father and managing partner of Neufeld, Kleinberg, Pinkiert, Alan Neufeld, was sworn into the North Dade Bar Association’s Board of Directors with Jason at his side. Alan has been involved with the North Dade Bar Association for over 25 years and has shown Jason the importance of the organization in the legal community. Jason’s first lady and attorney wife, Marla Neufeld, Esq. proudly took pictures at the event and helped share the news to friends and colleagues that Jason and Marla are expecting twins in 2014.
In addition to serving as the 2014 President of the North Dade Bar Association, Jason is an active member in the non-profit community, including the Leadership Broward Foundation (currently working on a community project for the LBGT support organization, Sun Serve), the Ghost Light Society (raising money for the free arts-in-education programming for children at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts), and 2-1-1 Broward (connecting people in need with over 3,000 vital governmental programs). Jason has been named a 2013 Super Lawyers Rising Star and a 2012 Florida Trends Legal Elite Up and Comer.
Jason proclaimed in his speech at the holiday party that he plans to continue to expand the learning, networking and community-service opportunities under the North Dade Bar Association umbrella.
