O’Connell & Goldberg (O&G) public relations announces two additions to the firm’s staff. Maite Mugica was named O&G’s social media director and Rachel Schopler joins the agency as an account executive.
Mugica will oversee digital media efforts for the agency and its clients in addition to guiding enhancements to the firm’s social media branding strategies.
Mugica previously was a digital copywriter and community manager for Zimmerman Advertising in Fort Lauderdale, where she integrated digital copy as a catalyst to impact brand footprints and company ROI. Mugica also was the public relations manager at Medi Clinics and PR media coordinator for Paula Robertson & Associates in Fort Myers. She resides in Pembroke Pines.
As an account executive, Schopler will help direct day-to-day activities and provide copywriting and media relations counsel for client projects. She joins O&G from Bitner Goodman PR in Fort Lauderdale, where she was an account coordinator and social media specialist. Among her previous appointments, Schopler was an assistant account executive at What’s Next Marketing and she served as digital coordinator for the Florida Public Relations Association Tallahassee Student Chapter. She resides in Boca Raton.
