When plans call for a cake that’s a real masterpiece, Shari’s Creations is the perfect destination.
And there may be no better time to drop in at the specialty cake decorating supply and gift studio than this coming week. Proprietor Shari Kwitney plans her first anniversary open-house celebration from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 2nd at her studio, 616 Atlantic Shores Blvd., Hallandale Beach, just east of US1.
“Stop by for a while before heading home from work,” Shari suggests. “Relax with a glass of champagne or coffee and enjoy several different cupcakes as well as other goodies.”
In addition to discounts on many cake decorating supplies that evening, she says, we will introduce The Miche Bag, the Handbag with Interchangeable Shells, that are now available at Shari’s Creations. Sugar-crafting demonstrations are scheduled throughout the party, as time allows, she adds.

To put frosting on the cake, Shari says the open house coincides with the ‘First Wednesday of Every Month’ meeting of the Southeast Broward chapter of the International Cake Exploration Societé (ICES). “Please join us,” she says. “You can share your ideas and techniques, and enjoy a variety of special treats while you’re here.”
Shari’s studio offers many different cake decorating classes each month as well. Private classes are available for two or more. “Get together with a group of friends just for fun or to celebrate any special event at our studio for a few inspirational hours of cake decorating. We also offer children’s cake decorating birthday parties and have creative ideas for your fundraising events.”
