Team Williams Island takes top place at MS Walk Aventura

The MS Walk Aventura was held on Sunday, March 25 at Founders Park, where Williams Island Residents Doug Bonds and Cathy White served as Co- Captains of Team Williams Island, helping to raise $11,160, making Team Williams Island the event’s Top Fundraising Team. This team’s effort raised $1,160 more than their goal of $10,000.

Williams Island residents have supported the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s events throughout the year. For them this is a personal battle that hits home in their community. Williams Island POA-Property Owners Association Board Secretary and 1000 Building Resident Paul Polachek has battled Multiple Sclerosis for several years.

Other Team Williams Island members include: Doug Bonds, Andrea Aghlaghanian, Clifford Ain, Adriana Nadelman, Alex Faren, Valerie Faren, David and Diana Schwartz, The Johnson Family, Tom Gellman, Fanny Korn, Gordon Masters, Roberta Rousseau, Fred Schneider, Kyle Smith, William Smith, Cathy White, and Carlos Yudica. This year’s event was very successful due to other teams and participants on Williams Island also joining in the effort.
