Oh what fun was had at this year’s 4th annual Holiday Lights for the Animals! It was great to see so many great friends and families come by the Humane Society of Greater Miami’s Soffer and Fine Adoption Center to celebrate the holidays with our furry friends while enjoying delicious treats and great holiday fun.

The afternoon was filled with joyous cheer as children frolicked around the shelter completing an exciting scavenger hunt and enjoyed delicious treats and hot chocolate. Visitors enjoyed magical musical performances by the students of Fulford Elementary School, Holy Cross Lutheran School and the Voices of Cushman School choir. It was very exciting to have the Mayor of North Miami Beach, George Vallejo, and Vice Mayor, Phyllis Smith, visit the shelter and introduce each school.

The final performance by the Voices of Cushman School choir had an exciting guest performer as Santa “Paws,” himself, joined in to sing “Santa Claus is Coming to Town”. It was a grand finale, indeed!

We would like to thank the following people and companies for their generous contributions to our Holiday Lights for the Animals: Allied Paper Company, Costco, Edible Arrangements, Exquisite Catering, Frank Rudisill, The Fresh Market, The Home Depot of North Miami Beach and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Station 22.
