“We are honored to announce that Carlos Triana, Williams Island Tennis Director, has been awarded the United States Professional Tennis Association- USPTA Miami District 13 Professional of the Year,” announced Williams Island General Manager Janette Giddings.
Carlos Triana received this award, at the recent 2012 USPTA Florida Division Awards Program in Club Med Sandpiper Bay in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Carlos is a former #5 USPTA rank player in the nation. He was the winner of the 2011 USPTA International Championship in the Men’s 50 and over Doubles at Saddlebrook USPTA World Conference. In 2004, Carlos was ranked #1 in Men’s Doubles 35s, in the state of Florida and #4 in Men’s Singles 40s. Besides being very active in tennis competition, Carlos is also very much involved with the USPTA seminars and conventions across the country. Carlos Triana’s expertise is in coaching Ladies’ and Men’s teams, as well as juniors of all levels. He has established a new Williams Island Summer 2012 Juniors Tennis Program for the many avid tennis teens and children on Williams Island.
