The Miami Hispanic Cultural Arts Center is the home to some of the most recognized arts organizations in Miami: The Miami Hispanic Ballet (MHB) presenting the annual International Ballet Festival of Miami, recently celebrating its 20th anniversary at various performance venues throughout the community; the Cuban Classical Ballet of Miami Company (CCBM) and the Cuban Classical Ballet of Miami School (CCBM School) dedicated to preserving the brilliant technique and rich heritage of the famed Cuban Ballet tradition outside Cuba with performances and classes; Creation Art Center (CAC) presenting literary encounters with authors, play readings and plays in Spanish.
Pena’s Art Gallery is located on the first floor, offering free exhibit space to both renowned and new Hispanic and European artists changing each month; concerts, the EuropPianos Naples Miami Partner School of Music (EPSM), dance classes and beautiful indoor and outdoor reception space. With more than 20 years of experience in Miami-Dade County, the MHB, CCBM & CAC have become prestigious and distinguished cultural institutions.
The exciting new Cultural Arts Center resides in the magnificent 1911 fully restored Miami Landmark building, The J.W. Warner Place, House and Garden, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and the only one from Miami featured in Remaking America, the definitive book of historic houses in America.
The property is centrally located between the Miami River, Downtown and Brickell, easily accessible to the Miami community and its visitors. Boasting a beautiful art exhibit space and two new dance studios, as well as a lovely landscaped outdoor and parking, the center is ideal for small concerts, receptions and film/book presentations classes and rehearsals.
The future plan is for the original colonial style building to be complemented by contemporary architecture housing brand new state-of-the-art ballet studios and black box theater, designed by architect Omar A. Morales. The planned activities at the Miami Hispanic Cultural Arts Center will enrich the arts in Miami and preserve the Hispanic cultural legacy.
MHCAC is the only Cultural Arts Center in Miami that offers a variety of artistic disciplines: theater, art exhibits, films, performances, concerts, receptions and regular instruction in ballet and music with an exceptional national and international staff of teachers.
