BG Vintage offers a vast selection of glass and ceramic pieces.

The color for 2013 officially is emerald and BG Vintage, glass and pottery, which opened recently at 1 NE 40 St. No. 107 in the Design District, has a lot of that.

Former publicist Brigitte Grosjean is living a second act; she is sharing her passion of collecting beautiful vintage glass and pottery and putting them together in unique collections in any color.

Adding and mixing these accents with one of a kind accessories such as fish, roosters, birds, boats, candlesticks, boxes that add that personal touch to accent your room, giving it essential personal character and élan. One will be able to choose his or her own collection, or bring in that special vase and build around it, or just have a pro put together the ideal collection for you.

Grosjean, born in England of a French father and an English mother, was educated in Switzerland at the well-known Chatelard School. She worked as a model agent in Paris, London and Milan, and later in Rome as an agent in films with ICM and stars such as David Bowie. In 1980, she moved to New York where she changed careers and earned a reputation as an accomplished publicist, first with Glemby International before going out on her own.

When Grosjean moved to Miami Beach she continued to work as a publicist, most recently as PR director at Jungle Island for three years, all because of her love of animals.

After combing through Thrift stores she now has thousands of unique one-of-a-kind pieces from more than 20 countries. She loves finding them, touching them, observing their forms, lines and design. She loves putting them together creating an artwork.

Now they are all available for sale at BG Vintage boutique and online at www.BGvintage.com
