Dr. Sheri Watson-Hamilton, DMD, recently was promoted to the position of deputy dental director at Community Health of South Florida Inc. (CHI).
Dr. Hamilton has been a devoted CHI dentist for 20 years and most recently served as the dental site supervisor at the Martin Luther King/Clinica Campesina Health Center. This is CHI’s largest site for dental services.
“We are excited to see her devotion and commitment to CHI’s success continue in this new role,” said Dr. St. Anthony Amofah, chief medical officer at CHI.
Over the years, Dr. Watson-Hamilton has worked at nearly every dental site for CHI. She said she is looking forward to continued growth with the organization.
“I’ve always been a go getter and tried to make things move forward,” Dr. Watson-Hamilton said. “I am excited about the challenge and I’m looking forward to help build the brand and increase access to high quality dental care for our patients.”
Dr. Watson-Hamilton possesses extensive training and experience in all aspects of general dentistry, including sophisticated digital imaging, root canal therapy, periodontal maintenance (continuing care of gums) and cosmetic procedures. She is dedicated to utilizing the latest techniques and advanced technology to offer patients of all ages the best possible long-term dental health.
“Dr. Watson–Hamilton has been essential to moving the CHI oral health program forward,” said Dr. Robert Johnson,” director of CHI Dental Services. “It is great to have her officially as part of our administrative structure.”
She also is a big believer in growing the next generation of dentists. Dr. Watson-Hamilton is a preceptor for a number of dental school students and residents that train at CHI.
She is a member of the National Dental Association, Florida Dental Association and Dade County Dental Society. She also is a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and the University of Florida Alumni Association.
