Bring the whole family to Bayfront Park’s Tree Lighting on Friday, Nov. 27, at 7 p.m., and celebrate the start of the holiday season. The free event, held annually in the park, 301 N. Biscayne Blvd., the day after Thanksgiving, marks the start of the holiday season.
The tree, created by Christmas Designers Inc. (with over 25 years of experience throughout South Florida), is a striking artificial 50-foot Rocky Mountain Pine Tree adorned with a custom lighting package. It will stay lit every night and remain in the park into the new year.
To add to the holiday spirit, Bayfront Park’s Holiday Tree will relocate to the La Feria del Mercado de San Miguel area this year, making it the perfect destination for the whole family to eat, drink and have a merry holiday shopping experience.
In addition, La Feria del Mercado de San Miguel will open an adjacent Holiday Market on Friday, Nov. 27, running through Jan. 6, 2016. The Holiday Market of La Feria del Mercado de San Miguel will feature a variety of booths vending holiday gifts and trinkets, such as art, fashion, jewelry, toys, plants/flowers, hot chocolate, warm cashews and nuts, local produce, coffee and artisan baked goods.
The market, which is open noon-9 p.m., will be closed Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
