WHAT

A transportation reporters dream. With more than 37 million all-electronic toll accounts in the U.S., including more than 5 million in the state of Florida, the International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association (IBTTA) is holding its Summit on All-Electronic Tolling (AET), Managed Lanes and Interoperability: The Technology, Science & Politics of Mobility in Miami, Florida. The Summit, hosted by the Miami-Dade Expressway Authority (MDX) will showcase innovative technologies and lessons learned from toll road projects from Miami and around the globe.

Spotlight on Florida
Opening the Summit on Monday morning, July 13, Jim Boxold, Secretary, Florida’s Department of Transportation will share his vision on the future of transportation in Florida. On Sunday, July 12, you are invited to take a virtual tour of five Florida tolling facilities, including Miami-Dade Expressway Authority, Florida Department of Transportation, Central Florida Expressway Authority, Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise and Tampa-Hillsborough Expressway Authority. The organizations will discuss how they collaborate with one another to provide a network for greater mobility in their communities and across the state of Florida.
