‘iLOVE’ the Grove. Do you?

There’s a new blog in the neighborhood. Launching earlier this summer, iCoconutGrove.com became another addition to the general blogosphere and the newest member of the Coconut Grove community.

Dedicated to providing non-Grovites with the best insight on events, businesses and happenings in the Grove, iCoconutGrove will have any tourist experiencing the Village like a local.

“It’s a ‘what’s going on, what’s happening,’ kind of site,” said Jessica Gross, editor of iCoconutGrove.com. “We’re dedicated to sharing even the tiniest gems that make this neighborhood special.”

The website features different bloggers from around the area, each bringing something different to the table. Whether it’s Jasmine Elliott – a college student writing youthful twists to iconic businesses – or Rebecca Cofino – a local mom and writer – the site’s community of bloggers is made up of the names and faces of the Grove.

Unique to the blog is its “iLOVE” section, which features personal anecdotes by the contributing writers themselves highlighting what each loves most about the Grove.

“We are always actively looking for new writers,” Gross said. “We like the diversity and insight different perspectives add to the conversation.”

On August 27, iCoconutGrove will host a brunch to celebrate the soft-opening of the new platform. Inviting local businesses to share their input, the event will be held at GreenStreet Café. A larger community event will be planned in upcoming months for its official opening.
