Campers can enjoy the great outdoors and unique interactions with fascinating creatures.

South Florida’s favorite landmark attraction is back with all-new exciting Jungle Ed-venture Camps, designed to keep kids’ ages 5 to 12 engaged and thoroughly entertained during the long summer break. Available from June 12 to Aug. 18, Jungle Island offers 10 weeklong, full-day camps filled with educational hands-on animal encounters.

No need to park kids in front of a TV or a mobile device. By enrolling them in the Jungle Ed-venture Camps, young explorers enjoy the great outdoors and unique interactions with fascinating creatures found at the popular Miami attraction, from cuddly mammals to an exploration and discovery of spectacular birds, cool reptiles and the life of a zookeeper.

Campers learn to prowl and prance like a ferocious cat, boogie with barnyard animals, monkey around with the primates, touch creepy crawly things, play with rambunctious lemurs, and much more.

“Ed-venture camps at Jungle Island are a great option for parents who want their children to connect with nature and meet new friends in a safe environment,” said Christopher Gould, managing director at Jungle Island. “Being at arms length to some of the world’s rarest animals, and having the opportunity to interact with many of them, is truly a unique learning experience that will only leave campers with a deeper appreciation for the wild.”

Young adventurers also participate in arts and crafts, snack and story time, and additional themed activities. To participate, campers are required to bring a valid birth certificate, updated physical from their pediatrician, change of clothes, comfortable closed-toe shoes, hat or visor, sunscreen. Jungle Island supplies campers with two Jungle Island T-shirts, refillable water bottle and souvenir photo of their Ed-Venture Camp experience.

Summer Ed-venture Camps at Jungle Island take place every weekday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. starting June 12 through Aug. 18 (excluding July 4.) The cost is $215 per child, per week, excluding taxes. Annual pass holders enjoy a discounted rate of $195 as a benefit of their membership. For each additional sibling, the cost is $200 per week. Early and late care is available at an additional cost. Parents may choose to send campers with lunch or purchase a lunch package. No refunds will be accepted 14 days prior to the start of the camp program.
