Miami Fashion Institute at MDC to debut Miami Fashion Summit

The cutting-edge Miami Fashion Institute (MFI) at Miami Dade College (MDC), in partnership with Miami Fashion Week (MIAFW) and with the support of the Knight Foundation Fund at the Miami Foundation, will present the Miami Fashion Summit, a dynamic series that will run parallel to each day’s runway shows from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., May 31-June 2, at the Wolfson Campus in downtown Miami.

Hosted by fashion model and entrepreneur Valeria Mazza, the program will showcase top fashion experts Kavita Parmar, founder of The IOU Project; Carry Somers, founder of Fashion Revolution; Javier Goyeneche, founder and president of ECOALF; Sass Brown, founding dean of Dubai Institute of Design and Innovation, and more, to empower the next generation of fashion aficionados.

Last year, this speakers’ series was begun at the college by renowned actor, designer and MIAFW honorary president Antonio Banderas.

The Summit will take place at MDC Wolfson Campus Building 1 Auditorium, 300 NE Second Ave.
