With an attendance of over 1,000 music enthusiasts and a nearly sold-out performance, members of the Miami Music Project’s Youth Orchestra presented an energetic and crowd-inspiring appearance with Sony Masterworks Artist The Piano Guys on Tuesday, Feb. 3.

Eight young violinists performed Beethoven’s 5 Secrets with the YouTube sensation and were the only group invited to share the stage with the group.

“The show was incredibly moving,” said Abiram Brizuela, Miami Music Project’s director of programming. “Our young musicians have come away remembering this experience for the rest of their lives. It is of great value to show other young artists that through hard work, anything is attainable. We thank The Piano Guys for this opportunity and will cherish it always.”

The crowd at the Arsht Center delivered a resounding applause. Together with The Piano Guys, Miami Music Project’s Youth Orchestra musicians orchestrated a symphony work of mixing pop with classical music.

The ensemble was comprised of Daniel Guevara (New World School of the Arts), 16; Aspen Baker (Miami Arts Charter School), 15; Sara Nusbaum (Florida International University), 20; Juan Luis Florez (Pembroke Pines Charter School), 12; Andrea Guariguata (home-school), 16; Joshiba Jean- Charles (Fort Lauderdale High School), 16; Kelsey Milian (Ronald Reagan), 17, and Relyn Myrthil (home-school), 17.
