After much anticipation, the Miami Downtown Development Authority (Miami DDA) along with the City of Miami conducted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the official launch of the Downtown Miami Trolley. The ceremony took place on Friday, Apr. 27, with remarks from Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado, Miami Commissioner Marc Sarnoff, Miami DDA Board member Jerome Hollo and Miami DDA executive director Alyce Robertson.

“Downtown Miami has the most robust transportation system in the entire state and this new service will create even more options for residents, workers, and visitors,” Robertson said.

The Downtown Miami trolley provides service through the Biscayne-Brickell corridor approximately every 15 minutes from 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., Monday through Saturday. The route will travel between SW 26th Road near the Rickenbacker Causeway and NE 17th Terrace near the Omni Terminal.

This service will offer residents, workers and tourists in the Downtown area a fun, free way to connect to the area attractions including Brickell Financial District; Mary Brickell Village; Bayfront Park; AmericanAirlines Arena, and the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts.
