For the past several decades, the primary method for the quick reduction of fat cells has been liposuction.
Among the downsides to this invasive procedure have been issues surrounding the potential for burns under the skin and an effect known as “waffling” where, depending on the practitioner, the canulae’s movement in and out of the area being treated melts away the fat cells in a fan or waffle pattern due to ineffective treatment. The liposuction procedure is typically very painful post-operatively as well.
For Dr. Adam Rubinstein, a board certified plastic surgeon in Northeast Miami- Dade, the advent of a procedure known as “ThermiTight RF” has ushered in a much more precise type of fat removal in areas that heretofore were not possible.
“With the advent of ThermiTight RF, I can now perform neck tightening in a way that before required much more extensive procedures,: Dr. Rubinstein said. “Because of the precision of the treatment and the ThermiTight RF technology, the downtimes have been significantly reduced for patients and the results last for years as opposed to months.”
For Amalda Guerra, the ThermiTight RF procedure was a Godsend.
“I’d tried everything I could find to get rid of the fat deposits and excess skin under my arms and neck, but nothing worked,” she said. “Then
I read about the ThermiTight RF procedure, saw the before and after photos of Dr. Rubinstein’s work, and immediately made the appointment. It was the best decision. I couldn’t be happier with how my neck and arms look.”
Unlike lasers, where the laser energy is absorbed by the pigment in the skin’s surface, the with ThermiTight RF energy stimulates the production of collagen (which supports the skin) from within. ThermiTight RF can be used to tighten the skin of the face, neck, back, chest and arms.
ThermiTight RF is the first aesthetic therapy with temperature control. This means the doctor can set the desired temperature and deliver the therapy reducing risk of burns to the patient and can address skin tightening and fat together by simply changing the heat intensity. The RF device gives great control over the procedure providing better results. No general surgery, no surgical scars and no downtime.
As Dr. Rubinstein explained: “The trend we are seeing with ThermiTight RF is that it is quickly becoming one of the procedures I do the most in my practice.”
Dr. Adam J. Rubinstein is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He has served on the board for the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Journal, and is currently at work on his first book, Cut To The Chase: A No-Nonsense Guide To Cosmetic Treatments and Procedures.
