Ultimate Miami LLC, creator of Miami’s talent competitions showcasing local rising stars in the fields of mixology, entertainment and culinary arts, has announced the winners of the fifth season of the Ultimate Miami series, which took place over two weekends in June at Stage 305 inside Magic City Casino.
Grand prize winners earned a cash prize of $5,000 and the title of Miami’s Ultimate. Each evening was highlighted with a performance by a nationally known entertainer, including Carlos Mencia, TKA, George Lamond, Lime, Debbie Deb, Rockell, Collage, Derrick Barry and Lady Bunny.
The panel of judges included host of Top Chef Estrellas Ingrid Hoffmann, gay rights activist Tony Lima, acclaimed musician Jacob Jeffries, Emmy Award-winning journalist Trina Robinson and radio personalities Manny Munoz, Wil Shriner and Jill Tracey.
Ultimate Miami winners and dates of competitions are: Ultimate Miami Voice, Nicole Clark (June 10); Ultimate Miami Drag Queen, Mhi’ya LePaige (June 11); Ultimate Miami Dessert, Maxine Mira (June 17); Ultimate Miami Bartender, Roger Moreno (June 17), and Ultimate Miami Comedian, Ramon Garcia (June 18).
“The Ultimate Miami series, now in its fifth season, is devoted to showcasing South Florida’s rising stars. This year was no exception,” said Scott Savin, chief operating officer of Magic City Casino. “The level of competition was fierce, and the talent that was displayed was breathtaking.
