The Villagers’ 2016 Garden Tour, “Joie! – The Joy of Gardens,” will be on Saturday, Mar. 5, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and will feature gardens in South Miami and Coral Gables.
Gardens on the tour will showcase a variety of styles, from deco to lush and tropical.
The event is always much-anticipated for those interested in residential landscaping as well as those who simply enjoy a beautiful day in the private gardens of Miami. Members of The Villagers as well as owners, professional garden designers and landscape architects will be onsite to answer questions about design concepts, materials, and methods.
One location also will offer complimentary light refreshments, featuring The Villagers’ signature homemade treats, and a boutique with a variety of unique garden-related gifts for sale.
Visitors drive their own vehicles between the properties and the venues cannot accommodate wheelchairs, walkers or strollers. Flat shoes are recommended and there is no photography or smoking.
Tickets are $30, advance purchase, and $35 the day of the tour.
Tickets are available through Villagers’ members or online at http://thevillagersinc.org/projects-garden-tour/
All proceeds support the preservation and protection of local historic sites and scholarships in the field of historic preservation.
