Halloween has become a holiday enjoyed by almost everybody and, most especially, by adults. With that in mine, after a successful first Halloween party last year, Coral Gables Woman’s Club is once again going all out for its 2nd Annual Haunted House Mansion Halloween Party, October 31, at 8:00 p.m. to midnight, 1009 East Ponce de Leon Blvd. As the evening falls on a Fifth Friday, a night Gables Rotarians always celebrate with a social, the Rotary Club will celebrate with CGWC and invites other District 6990 Rotarians to join them for a great cause.

This party which will wow you with spooky, haunted house type scenery built from wood thanks to the generosity of Shell Lumber & Hardware. After trick or treating with your children, the club invites you to this fabulous party to show off their beautiful clubhouse while enjoying the company of new and old friends, and showing off your costumes for prizes while also raising funds for the club’s free children dental clinic that provides the children of the working poor with more than $220.000 in free dental care annually.

Yet another fun event coming up weeks later is the annual Great Grove Bed Race on Nov. 8. . This is such a fund way to spend the day with ample space for viewing along South Bayshore Drive. Signing up for the bed race is easier than you think. In fact, for businesses looking for positive press and branding, you cannot beat this. More on this in upcoming issues but for now visit www.thegreatgroverace.com.

Non profits will want to sign up to participate in the Park Project 5K Race on Sunday night, Nov. 2 on Miami Beach. Marly Q will once again orchestrate a great race and festival event that will also serve to benefit local non profits.
