Coral Gables City Commission meetings are now being televised on AT&T U-verse through its Channel 99 for public, educational and government (PEG) programming.

Coral Gables Television (CGTV) also continues to transmit its signal within the city through Comcast’s Channel 77, live stream online at www.coralgables.com and on demand at www.youtube.com/user/coralgablestv.

“CGTV is a great source of news and information designed specifically with the Coral Gables viewer in mind and we want to offer our programming in multiple formats,” said Coral Gables Mayor Jim Cason. CGTV transmits live and recorded city commission meetings, as well as Historic Preservation Board and Planning and Zoning Board meetings.

CGTV also presents community- based original programming produced in English and Spanish such as What’s Happening Coral Gables, NewsDesk and NewsDesk en Español, Historic Homes of Coral Gables, Coral Gables Now and Coral Gables Al Día, among other shows.

According to public affairs manager Maria Rosa Higgins Fallon, the City of Coral Gables invested approximately $7,000 to purchase the equipment necessary to connect to the U-verse network reaching Miami-Dade, Broward and Monroe counties.

U-verse viewers have to select Channel 99, and pick Coral Gables Television from a list of other agencies in order to access CGTV. For additional information, contact the Office of Public Affairs at 305-460-5205.
