To the Editor:
Hi, my name is Sophia Perez-Estevez and this is my last year as an elementary student at Coral Gables Preparatory Academy. I will be attending the Middle Campus next year.
I just wanted to take some time to express my appreciation to my fifth grade teachers — Mrs. Sanchez in Language Arts, Reading and Social Studies and Mrs. Salinas in Math and Science — and to let them know how much I enjoyed being in their classes this year.
Mrs. Sanchez, you are a great teacher and a very astounding and a sociable person as well. You are always helping us and I admire you because your dedication to your students. My favorite time is when you let us use our cellphones to search up some information.
Mrs. Sanchez will be retiring after being a teacher for 34 years. I wish you the best and hope you enjoy what you much deserve.
I would also like to thank Mrs. Salinas who always made extra sure that I understood the material, helping me with anything, anytime. You are always sweet and careful with me.
I will never forget how both of you held me when we went through a delicate health situation in my family. Being able to count on you was really special to me and shows how much you care about the wellbeing of your students.
I also want to thank my former teachers: Mrs. Sosa (kindergarten), Mrs. Tapanes (first grade), Mrs. Benitez (second grade), Mrs. Martinez (third grade), and Mrs. Ramirez (fourth grade). They all have had a very important roll in my life.
I can’t wait to go to middle school next year and cherish more memories with my future teachers. I will let you know…
