[dropcap]S[/dropcap]panning 7,000 tropical acres on the southeastern coast of the Dominican Republic, Casa de Campo is pleased to announce their partnership with The Pubbelly Restaurant Group – bringing their hip, Asian-inspired Pubbelly Sushi restaurant to the legendary luxury destination – set to open later this year.

The highly anticipated Pubbelly Sushi will be located in the Marina at Casa de Campo and will boast an interior space of 785 square feet, an exterior space of 1,873 square feet and 114 person seating capacity. The eclectic menu will take diners and guests of the resort on an edible tour of Asia. Created by Culinary Director and Founding Partner of The Pubbelly Restaurant Group, Jose Mendin and Pubbelly Sushi Partner, Yuki Ieto, the menu will feature dishes from Tuna Pizza with crispy tortilla, garlic aioli and truffle oil, to Tostones con Ceviche with Hamachi ginger soy, cilantro, red onion and yuzu.

“We’re excited to partner with The Pubbelly Restaurant Group,” said Charles Keusters, Director of Food & Beverage at Casa de Campo. “Their creativity and amazing flavor combinations will make a great addition to the culinary offerings at Casa de Campo and ultimately, allow us to further enhance our guest experience.”

casa-de-campoAdditional popular menu items include the butter Snow Crab Roll wrapped in barely-there goma soy paper and ponzu and the Yellowtail Roll with green soy paper, truffled yuzu, snow crab and nori flakes. The Robata Grill at Pubbelly Sushi serves up a variety of fresh meats, seafood and vegetables in delicious marinades and sauces including Chicken Yakitori with ginger miso and sesame seeds, Steak Anticucho with rustic aji panca and Giant Squid with nira moyashi and smoked garlic. Founding Partner and Managing Director of The Pubbelly Restaurant Group, Andreas Schreiner describes Pubbelly Sushi as “the sushi of the future – the neighborhood restaurant that offers open-minded and unexpected sushi in a relaxed, fun environment that appeals to an ever exploring generation.”

Bringing the Japanese anime-style murals and modern-Asian design twists from the original Pubbelly Sushi in Miami Beach, Florida to the Dominican Republic – the partnership will perfectly fuse Pubbelly’s creativity, flavor and value with Casa de Campo’s world-class service and quality. The new Pubbelly Sushi at Casa de Campo will draw from locally sourced seafood whenever possible, heightening the caliber and standards of excellence at the much-anticipated restaurant.

The new restaurant will showcase the architectural expertise of the highly acclaimed Selman & Asociados Arquitectura in the Dominican Republic. “Pubbelly Sushi at Casa de Campo is a reflection of the shared vision of the brand owners and the executives of the resort. It’s fresh and relaxed design brings together Miami’s chic and trendy ambiance with the charming, tropical and marine atmosphere La Marina at Casa de Campo,” said Rafa Selman of Selman & Asociados Arquitectura.
