Craft beer lovers, delight your taste buds. FIU’s Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management (CSHTM) is hosting its 4th annual South Florida Brewfest on November 7th 12:00pm – 4:00pm.
While the majority of breweries are very popular home brews, the likes of Funky Buddha and Wynwood Brewing, the event has attracted the attention of other national and international craft brewers. Goose Island and Brooklyn Brewery among others will now bring their prized brews to the event. In total there are 36 craft breweries, featuring more than 100 unique craft beers, attesting to the growing popularity of the craft beer industry in South Florida.
The one-day outdoor beer festival, which began at FIU as a class project, focuses on samplings of small-batch beers and on educating guests about the brewing process with three seminars offered throughout the day by faculty and top brewers.
Visitors will also have an opportunity to tour FIU’s state-of-the-art brewing science lab.
