From the team that brought you Town Kitchen & Bar in South Miami and Smoke’t Southern Kitchen & Tap in Coral Gables, their new venture, Around Town Catering, will deliver tasty dishes from their restaurants to your corporate and private events.

Around Town Catering’s menu includes a variety of taste sensations from the two popular restaurants, Town and Smoke’t. New menu options will be added when owners Brandon Lurie, John Janette and Michael Altman open their two new restaurant concepts — Sake Blue Asian Kitchen & Bar and Town’wich Food & Bev.

According to Lurie, the company’s operations manager, the Asian-infused Sake Blue will be opening in December near Merrick Park in Coral Gables and Town’wich, their new sandwich, salad and pastry joint, will be opening in Coconut Grove in early 2011.

“Around Town Catering is a natural progression since large take-out orders are already popular at both Smoke’t and Town,” Lurie said. “We’ll now be able to offer our customers expanded catering service options, such as event set-up, servers and clean-up.”

Around Town Catering’s director, Stella Lurie, said that whether you’re planning a business meeting or conference, wedding reception or baby shower, holiday party or dinner party, Around Town Catering can create a customized menu that incorporates your taste and budget and is sure to be a success with your guests.

“We work with our clients to design a menu to satisfy all appetites and group sizes,” Stella said. “We offer individual orders such as box lunches, as well as gourmet party platters, lavish hors d’oeuvres, buffets and full-service dinner options. There’s really something for everyone and every occasion.”

From the Town menu, choose such items as the Town Box Lunch, salads, sandwich platters, thin crust pizza and hot pasta and chicken entrées.

From the Smoke’t menu, enjoy tasty temptations such as Smoke’t buffalo and barbecue wings, chicken sliders, baby back ribs, slow smoked pulled pork, barbecue half chicken, jalapeño corn bread and down-home sides and desserts.

The Asian-infused choices from Sake Blue and the salads, sandwiches and fresh pies and pastries from Town’wich will be added to the Around Town Catering menu when these restaurants open.

“We can help customers select menu items from each of our restaurants so they can create themed serving stations at their event,” Stella added. “Our talented chefs can even accommodate special menu requests.”

Working with Stella to provide customers with a delicious array of food selections will be Chef Michael Altman and Chef Richard Plasencia.

Around Town Catering customers can choose the catering service option that best suits their needs. “Do-it-yourselfers” may pick-up their catering order at one of the affiliated restaurants or have their food and beverages delivered to their event.

Those seeking a little help will enjoy having the full-service staff, including professional servers and bartenders, assist them at their affair.

For a totally stress-free event, Stella and her team can plan and provide everything “from soup to nuts,” or more specifically, tables, linens, decorations, flowers and more. This full-service party option can be held at your place or in the comfortable lounge areas at Town and Smoke’t.

“Our professional staff is dedicated to providing the finest in food presentation and service,” Stella said. “Our impeccable attention to detail will make your event run smoothly, so you can relax and enjoy it.”

Thanksgiving is just around the corner and Around Town Catering will be providing catered holiday meals, including traditional turkey with all the trimmings and other creative dishes created by Chef Altman.
