Real estate and commercial law attorney Fernando Garcia, a partner with the national law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP in their Coral Gables/Miami office, has been named “Knight of the Year” by the Knights of Columbus Coral Gables Council 3274.
Garcia was recognized for his service as Deputy Grand Knight for five years and organizing numerous Knights’annual fundraisers for the past six years in connection with Council 3274’s charitable work including Habitat For Humanity, Special Olympics, Down Syndrome Walk and annual Thanksgiving Turkey Drive and Christmas Toy drive for underprivileged children and families.
Due to Garcia’s collaborative efforts, tens of thousands of dollars have been raised for various charitable causes. The Knights is a service organization founded in the 1880s, the largest lay organization affiliated with the Catholic Church.
Garcia has more than 30 years of experience in real estate and commercial law, serving as counsel to entrepreneurs, investors, developers, lenders, institutional and corporate clients in complex commercial real estate transactions.
