The Coral Gables Museum, which celebrates, investigates and explores the civic arts, in partnership with Leica Store Miami, has scheduled walking tours where people can practice their street photography skills and take photos of Coral Gables.

The first photo walking tour took place during the annual Carnaval on the Mile on Saturday, Mar. 7. The second one takes place during Coral Gables Gallery Night on Friday, Apr. 3, at 6 p.m. The tour starts at the museum at 285 Aragon Ave. Bring a camera and an SD card to record photos. In addition, Leica cameras will be made available for the first 12 registrants. ALeica representative will offer pointers on using the cameras before the tour begins.

The museum encourages participants of the photo walking tours to submit their best photo into Capture Coral Gables, the fourth annual photography contest for teens and adults sponsored by the Coral Gables Museum. The contest will culminate in an exhibit at the museum during the summer. Admission for the photo walking tours is $5 for museum members and $10 for nonmembers. To register, call 305-603-8067.

The museum is the Official Visitors Center of the City of Coral Gables. For more information about educational programs or volunteering, visit www.coralgablesmuseum.org.
