On Wednesday, March 6th, join Miami Ballroom, University of Miami’s official latin ballroom dance club, as they host the University of Miami’s third Dancing with the UMiami Stars – Stars of the silver screen event! Miami Ballroom knows that anyone can learn to dance given the opportunity. To prove it they have brought together some of UM’s most famous faces to learn and perform a standard or latin ballroom dance. There will be a total of eight performances from the “Stars” as well as various performances throughout the event from Miami Ballroom’s own Performance Team and other campus dance teams. Participants include Dr. Barbara Colonna, an Organic Chemistry Professor, as well as student government members and more! In the end, there will be a latin and a standard winner as well as a audience choice award. The event will take place from 7-10 PM on The Rock, and it is completely free to come and watch.
