The Youth Fair’s favorite clown, Tadpole, recently visited Holtz Children’s Hospital, bringing smiles and laughter to dozens of pediatric patients and their families. Tadpole also gave stuffed animals to the kids, including transplant, dialyses and ICU patients.

“The entire Youth Fair family is delighted to have had Tadpole visit the youngsters at Holtz Children’s Hospital, said Bob Hohenstein, President and CEO of the Youth Fair. “We hope they were able to bring a bit of the Youth Fair to the children that were not able to visit us this year.”

Tadpole was a part of this year’s strolling entertainment at The Youth Fair. Tadpole, along with his clown partner Katie, explores the Fairgrounds making new friends.

The Youth Fair ran from March 14-31, 2013. The Youth Fair is a private, not-for- profit organization that has donated well over $10 million in scholarships, awards and cash premiums to Miami-Dade students and is dedicated to supporting education and South Florida agriculture.

Holtz Children’s Hospital has more than 110 attending physicians and specialists.  With 254 licensed beds, it is among the largest teaching hospitals and research centers in the country.  Holtz is home to several specialized programs for critically ill children, including neonatal intensive care, pediatric intensive care, pediatric transplant and the Children’s Heart Center.
