If you are waiting to tee off at the Granada Golf Course, and your cell phone battery is almost out of power, the city has the perfect solution for you. Coral Gables has installed, as a pilot program, a solar-powered charging bench by the golf course’s Pro Shop on the first tee, capable of charging four electronic devices simultaneously. If you want to try it out, make sure you bring your own charging cord. City staff will analyze their usability, and may consider installing additional benches in other Coral Gables parks.
