From Dali to Disney, fine art originals and limited edition pieces are expected to be a draw for dozens of Coral Gables area residents celebrating the 60th anniversary of Granada Day School. The celebrated institution will commemorate its milestone “birthday” with an art auction fundraiser by Hamilton Fine Art & Auctions, benefitting the school’s day-to-day programming and ongoing community outreach.
Taking place Saturday, April 11th, at the school’s home-site, Granada Presbyterian Church (950 University Drive in Coral Gables), the vibrant live auction will include a 6:30 p.m. preview, followed by the main event at 7:30 p.m.
Expected to be included in the diverse line-up of items will be works of art by renowned artists including Salvador Dali, Pablo Picasso and Marc Changall as well as rare “cells” from 20th century Disney animated classics. And in addition to oils, watercolors, lithographs and etchings, attendees will have the opportunity to bid on sports memorabilia and jewelry as well as special travel packages including an Azmara Club Cruises vacation for two and a four-day day stay at Karisma Hotels & Resorts in Mexico.
Operating out of Coral Gables since 1954, Granada Day School – which has both day school and preschool components – has long been a revered institution for the Coral Gables community, serving as a launching pad for the education of thousands of local children.
For nearly 15 years, Hamilton Fine Art and Auction has been a leader in the wholesale fine art and fundraising art auction industry, assisting thousands of organizations, national foundations, clubs and other non-profits in raising monies through art auction events.
A donation of $10 is required at the door. Guests will also be able to enjoy delectable hors d’oeuvres an fabulous door prizes.
