Jad Lehoud, president/ CEO, L&H Partners, hales from Beirut, Lebanon. A self-made businessman with a long history of community service in South Florida, Jad and his partners, Nazih Hardan and Mary Kayal, started L&H Partners in 1991.

The following year, Jad came to the United States and became involved in community service events at his church, Our Lady of Lebanon Catholic Church. A friendship with philanthropist and close friend Anthony Abraham exposed Jad to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN, where he served on the board for several years and was on its building committee raising funds so that children with life-threatening illnesses would receive critical medical care at no cost.

During the past 20-plus years Jad’s firm, L & H Partners, has become a leading general contracting, construction management and real estate firm gaining anoutstanding reputation in the South Florida market. Its clients have included such notables as Pat Riley, president of the Miami Heat; Nick Buoniconti, entrepreneur and football legend, and Charles J. Zwick, former director of the U.S. Office of Management and Budget in the Lyndon Johnson administration.

A compassionate man who is committed to alleviating poverty, Jad has served as a member of the Knights of Malta for 14 years. In that role, he not only has raised money, but also provided leadership and service to the Catholic Church and Catholic-related causes by providing professional expertise and hands-on volunteer service to the poor. Among his many charitable pursuits include support for the Knights of Columbus and the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem.

With a strong appreciation for his family, business success and his close relationship with his partners and employees, Jad feels strongly about giving back to the community. He believes that everything you have on Earth is on a “loaner basis” and blessings should be shared with those less fortunate.

When Jad is not volunteering or working, he enjoys time with his wife and daughter, playing tennis, boating and hunting. He believes the Lord has blessed him greatly and he is paying it forward with his good works and generous spirit.

A graduate of the University of Florida with a major in Spanish, Burns has an extensive background in advertising, marketing and reciprocal trade, travel , non profit consulting and management. Before joining Miami's Community Newspapers as a columnist and marketing specialist, Gloria was the Executive Director of the Jr. Orange Bowl Committee (6 yrs.) and first Executive Director of the Coral Gables Community Foundation (14 yrs.) and the Pinecrest Community Foundation (1 ½ yrs) . Burns' volunteer activities led her to become a columnist for Community Newspapers writing Gloria’s Gab, that focuses on the non-profit activity, and a host of an online show, Gloria's Gab LIVE. Gloria serves the board of the Rotary Club of Coral Gables as Civic and Charity Chair, and is involved in the club's International Committee. She is an active Life Member of the Jr. Orange Bowl Committee and is Secretary of the Merrick Festival. She serves on the board of directors of the Coral Gables Woman' Club as Publicity Chair and also coordinates the club's monthly fundraiser for various charities with Gringo Bingo at Clutch Burger. In addition, Gloria participates in numerous other charitable events and is a member of the Business Forum Group, Profit Inc., the Greater Miami Festival & Events Association and the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce. In other volunteer activity, Gloria helps Miami Christian School with fund-raising and PR; is an Ambassador and volunteers for events for A Safe Haven for Newborns. She is an active member of the Music Ministry at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where she enjoys singing in the choir every weekend.
