Marc Stolzenberg, a 30-year veteran of the Coral Gables Fire Department, is the new Fire Chief responsible for leading the city’s accredited Class 1 Fire Department made up of more than 130 firefighters and medical first responders
He had been filling the role of interim fire chief after the retirement of former Fire Chief Walter Reed.
“I’m very proud to serve a great city,” Chief Stolzenberg said. “The well-being of this community remains my top priority.”
Fire Chief Stolzenberg sits on the board of directors of the Fire Officers Association of Miami-Dade County, which establishes best practices and addresses issues pertaining to firefighter operations, emergency management, and homeland security for the South Florida region. He also leads the city’s Emergency Management operations.
