Coach Danny Price has received yet another award for the 2014 season. The head coach for Miami Dade College’s (MDC) men’s baseball team recently was named Regional Coach of the Year by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) for the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).

With more than 1,200 wins, Coach Price is no stranger to accolades. This past season he took home the honors of being named Coach of the Year for both the FCSAA as well as the Southern Conference. He also led his team to the Florida College Activities Association (FCSAA) State Championship title, after defeating nationally ranked No. 13 Polk State College, 4-2.

The state championship lead the Sharks to participate in the JUCO World Series in Grand Junction, CO, where they came in second in the nation. The Sharks have claimed the state title 11 times.

The men’s baseball team clinched its 29th Southern Conference Championship title with an overall record of 30 wins and 14 losses, and a conference record of 17-6.
