Celebrating the tradition of Oktoberfest, held in Munich since 1810, there will be live entertainment performed by bands from Austria and Germany, a decorated Beer Garden, traditional Austrian/ Bavarian food, jodel contest, bratwursteating contest and a raffle to raise money for a non-profit organization.
The free event takes place daily from 11 a.m. to midnight on the Bierhaus Plaza in front of Fritz & Franz Bierhaus at 60 Merrick Way.
Entertainment includes the Bavarian band “Hoo Ruck” and Austrian band “Alpenland Gaudi.”
The Bierhaus Plaza is located directly in front of the City Parking Garage No. 6, with more than 400 parking spaces. The entrance is at 51 Aragon and the fee is $1 per hour, free on Sundays.
