One Girl finds creative way to help orphanage far away

Emma and her 35 third and fourth grade classmates at Blue Lakes Elementary School gathered Sunday morning, May 1st at Build-A-Bear Workshop in the Falls Mall to not only have fun but to share with children at Sunil.s Home Orphanage in India. Build-A-Bear donated 50% of proceeds to help advance these children’s dream to help other children less fortunate in a small town in India. Under the guidance of Miss Miller and Miss Cuervo and Ody Trapaga (Emma’s Mom), Emma and her friends made a large donation to Mom Lynn who, along with Rod Hildebrant and Matthew Meehan, personally oversees the orphanage, a project that has had Emma’s attention since Kindergarten.
