Susan Elizabeth Klock Joins Rasco Klock Perez & Nieto Law Firm

SusanKlockPictureThe Coral Gables based Law Firm of Rasco Klock Perez & Nieto P.L., (RKPN) has announced the hiring of Susan Elizabeth Klock, who will be an Associate at the Firm.

“Susan is an extremely bright individual who received significant training at the Boies Schiller firm. As a result of her fluency in Spanish and Portuguese, she adds a significant dimension to our firm in particular given our growth in representing multinational clients,” said Alfonso J. Perez, RKPN Partner.

Ms. Klock’s main practice area is the resolution of complex and multi-district business disputes over a broad range of substantive areas, including antitrust, securities, and general commercial disputes. Her background includes work at Boies, Schiller & Flexer LLP and Federal Clerkship with the Honorable James Lawrence King, U.S. District Judge in the Southern District.

Ms. Klock is excited to be working with her father, who is a partner at the firm. She is a mother to a three-year-old little girl. She is an avid scuba diver and a member of the Underwater Bar Association, composed of legal professionals that promote education and awareness about coral reefs and other marine environments through scuba diving, philanthropic activities, and learning experiences. She is also a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and learned Jiu Jitsu and Capoeira while living in Brazil. She speaks English, Spanish and Portuguese.

“My professional goal is to help people from all over the world, but especially to be able to help everyone who lives in our community, and that means understanding their native languages and where they come from,” said Susan Elizabeth Klock.

Her recent accomplishments include:

· Represented two organizational plaintiffs as well as ten individual plaintiffs and their next friends seeking injunctive relief to increase access to and timeliness of medical and dental care for Florida children on Medicaid in Florida Pediatric Society, et al, v. Holly Benson, et al.

· Represented both domestic and international investors in the Madoff feeder funds, seeking recovery of their losses from the massive Ponzi scheme perpetrated by Bernard Madoff.

· Represented a major credit card corporation against antitrust claims alleging violations of Sections 1 and 2 of the Sherman Act.

· Participated in the representation of the plaintiff in Archdiocese of Milwaukee Supporting Fund v. Halliburton, a complex securities class action.
