As the GFWC Coral Gables Woman’s Club celebrates the 75th Anniversary of its May Van Sickle Children’s Dental Clinic, the club is inviting all public and independent school teachers for an open house to tour the clinic and the clubhouse located at 1009 E. Ponce de Leon Blvd. in Coral Gables on Sept. 17, from 3:30 to 6 p.m.
The clinic currently provides more than $225,000 in free dental care annually to the working poor who fall between the cracks in the healthcare system.
For any women interested in learning more about the club and possibly joining, there will be a wine and cheese party from 7 to 9 p.m. During that time, guests will meet the board, committee chairs and other club members, to become acquainted with the many programs and projects the club supports in addition to the clinic.
