On March 1, Vizcaya Museum and Gardens will welcome South Florida’s boldest fashion-forward supporters to its 8th Annual Vizcaya Preservation Luncheon, known informally as “The Hat Luncheon.”  Each year this must-go event attracts 300 guests from Miami, Palm Beach and New York for a beautiful, stylish day including a champagne lunch and informal modeling in Vizcaya’s European-style grounds.

Azamara Club Cruises has provided an exquisite voyage for two for auction at this year’s luncheon. The winner of the ocean-view room can choose from anywhere Azamara Club Cruises sails, with voyages ranging from three to 18 nights, and sailing to 203 ports, 68 countries and 5 continents. Azamara’s two intimate, 686-guest ships offer a boutique European hotel ambience with extraordinary services, fine cuisine and wines from around the world.

The Preservation Luncheon raises funds to preserve and protect Vizcaya Museum and Gardens for the community and future generations to come. Founded in 2009, the luncheon is a friend-raiser and fund-raiser to support the preservation of Vizcaya. Tickets can be purchased online for $350 per person, tables for 10 guests for $3,500 and premier James Deering tables of 10 for $5,000. For more information about the Preservation Luncheon, visitwww.vizcayapreservation.org  email events@vizcaya.org.

The 8th Annual Vizcaya Preservation Luncheon’s Honorary Chair is Swanee DiMare and Co-Chairs are Eilah Campbell-Beavers, Sonia Gibson, Linda Levy Goldberg, Barbara Hevia, Daysi Johansson, Christy Martin and Laura C. Munilla. Committee members are Lesli Ann Brown, Suzy Buckley, Ana Hernandez, Carol Iacovelli, Marile Lopez, Nicole Lozano, Bronwyn Miller, Marisa Toccin, and Alexa Wolman.

ABOUT VIZCAYA MUSEUM AND GARDENS:

Vizcaya Museum and Gardens is a National Historic Landmark that preserves the Miami estate of agricultural industrialist James Deering to engage our community and its visitors in learning through the arts, history and the environment. Built between 1914 and 1922, Vizcaya is one of the most intact remaining examples from this era in United States history, when the nation’s most successful entrepreneurs built lavish estates inspired by the stately homes of Europe.

Vizcaya features a Main House, 10 acres of formal gardens, a rockland hammock (native forest), mangrove shore, the Vizcaya Café and Shop presented by A Joy Wallace Catering, Design and Special Events, and a historic village that will be restored for additional venues for programs and community outreach. Located at 3251 South Miami Avenue, between Brickell Avenue and Coconut Grove, Vizcaya is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. except Tuesdays, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
