Rick and Margarita Tonkinson’s passion and support for the arts in our community is clearly a family affair. Because of their generous support, the Arsht Center recently named the Knight Concert Hall Second Floor Promenade in their honor. Since its inception 12 years ago, the Tonkinsons have purchased 12 stones and 14 chairs for family and friends and continue to lend their support year after year.
Rick Tonkinson serves as a board member (trustee) of the Miami Music Association (MMA) and as a member of the Arsht Planned Giving Committee. Committed to the arts, Rick has also given generously to the MMA, which brought the Cleveland Orchestra to the Arsht Center for 8 years. In addition, Rick has provided financial support to theMiami City Ballet and the Florida Grand Opera, as well as numerous other charities.
